Orthoptics at Singleton Hospital

The orthoptic clinic at Singleton hospital is located within the outpatients department in Corridor 6.

There is a reception area, 4 clinic rooms including 3 general testing rooms, an adult room and infant testing room. There is also a play room for children and a designated waiting area.

The department links closely with ophthalmology which is situated in Corridor 7.

Travelling directions from West

  • Exit the M4 Junction 47. At the roundabout take 3rd exit onto the A483
  • At the roundabout take first exit and continue on the A483
  • Continue along the road, through the next set of traffic lights.
  • At the 3rd set of lights (opposite the Marquis Arms Pub) turn right onto Station Road
  • Continue straight along the A4216 (Cockett Road)
  • Go straight ahead at the first mini roundabout, and then right to Vivian Road at the mini roundabout immediately afterwards
  • Continue along the A4216. At the traffic lights continue straight ahead. At the next set of traffic lights turn left onto Sketty Park Road
  • At the roundabout take the first exit on to Sketty Lane (A4216)
  • At the lights turn left
  • Destination on the left

 Travelling directions from East

  • Exit M4 at junction 42 (Swansea A483) where the slip road will bring you on to Fabian Way (A483)
  • Continue on to Quay Parade A4067
  • Continue to follow A4067 passing a Tesco Extra, St Helen’s Cricket ground and Swansea University
  • Turn right onto Sketty Lane, Singleton Park will be on your right.
  • Go into the right hand lane
  • At the lights turn right
  • Destination will be on the right

Orthoptics at Neath Port Talbot

Neath Orthoptic clinic is located within the Eye Clinic, on the upper level of the Outpatients department.

The department consists of two Orthoptic clinic rooms, children’s play area and patient waiting area.

  • Exit at Junction 42, take the A48/A483 exit to Briton Ferry/ Swansea

  • At the roundabout take 1st exit
  • At the roundabout take the 2nd exit onto Baglan Way
  • Turn left, go through 1 roundabout
  • Destination on left

  • Exit Junction 38 A48 to Port Talbot
  • At roundabout take the 2nd exit onto Margam Road A48
  • At the roundabout, take the 1st exit onto Harbour Way/A4241
  • At the roundabout, take the 2nd exit and stay on Harbour Way/A4241
  • At the roundabout, take the 1st exit and stay on Harbour Way/A4241
  • At the roundabout, take the 2nd exit and stay on Harbour Way/A4241
  • At the roundabout, take the 2nd exit onto A4241
  • At the roundabout, take the 2nd exit onto Afan Way/A4241
  • At the roundabout, take the 3rd exit onto Baglan Way
  • Turn right at Aberavon Rd
  • Go through 1 roundabout
  • Destination will be on the left
