Return to sport

Spending time away from sport or practice due to injury can get you itching to come back. Unfortunately, returning to your previous level without a graded approach can often result in re-injury and therefore you spend longer away from the activity you love. We recommend trying to set small milestones that replicate your goal and building on them until you return to your previous level. This involves both injuries in the upper limb and lower limb.

The following are examples of graded programmes to return you to;

Rugby.

Netball.

Football.

Running.

These are not set in stone and will not necessarily apply to every injury. It is recommended to discuss their suitability for your injury with your physiotherapist.

Rydym yn croesawu gohebiaeth a galwadau ffôn yn y Gymraeg neu'r Saesneg. Atebir gohebiaeth Gymraeg yn y Gymraeg, ac ni fydd hyn yn arwain at oedi. Mae’r dudalen hon ar gael yn Gymraeg drwy bwyso’r botwm ar y dde ar frig y dudalen.

We welcome correspondence and telephone calls in Welsh or English. Welsh language correspondence will be replied to in Welsh, and this will not lead to a delay. This page is available in Welsh by clicking ‘Cymraeg’ at the top right of this page.
