Women's Health

Welcome to our education page for Women’s health.  Here you will find short education videos to help you manage and treat a variety of symptoms. We recommend that you watch the video covering the Anatomy and Role of the pelvic floor which also serves as introduction.  Feel free to watch as many videos as you want.

We have put together a number of short audio presentations to provide a basic introduction to common complaints suffered by Women at some point in their lives. They have been designed as stand alone talks but we encourage you to watch them all when you get time as they may help you prevent future problems.

  1. Anatomy and Role of the Pelvic Floor
  2. How to help your bladder behave
  3. How to help your bowel behave
  4. Vaginal laxity and prolapse
  5. Pelvic Floor Exercises

Physiotherapy aims to help you help yourself and make the most of your body. What we eat and drink, how much activity we undertake and the ability to find our pelvic floor muscles is all important to improve our pelvic health by conservative means.

This booklet is a comprehensive self help guide to improving your pelvic health. It is fairly lengthy but can be split into chapters to make it easier to read and digest.
