Llais Neath Port Talbot and Swansea Region have recently launched their ‘Having a Baby’ Maternity Survey.

This survey will be open for a period of 12 weeks, closing Monday 30th September 2024.

As you may already be aware, in December 2023, Swansea Bay University Health Board announced it had commissioned an Independent Review into Maternity and Neonatal services in Swansea Bay, to maintain public confidence in the care being delivered.

Llais wants to hear from local mums, dads and families about their recent experiences of maternity care in the Swansea Bay University Health Board area. We are collecting feedback about all stages of the pregnancy journey.

Ways to share your feedback:

Talk to us, write to us, message us and tell us what you think through these channels:

You can share your views through our 'Having a Baby' online survey here.

Seeking people to join our focus groups

Have you received maternity care from Swansea Bay University Health Board (SBUHB) maternity services in the last 5 years?

If yes, Llais would like to hear about your experience. We are hosting 3 focus group sessions in the local community, to hear what went well and what needs to be improved about maternity services.

To register your interest, please contact us by one of the methods above. We are looking for 20 participants for each group, who must live or use services in the Swansea Bay University Health Board area.

We will provide a safe space to talk and light refreshments. If you need support to join a session, or would prefer to speak to someone 1-to-1, please let us know.

For more information, including dates, venues and how to book to attend a session, please follow this link to the Eventbrite website.

Calling all community groups!

We work with local groups to make sure we hear from a range of people using services. This includes those whose voices are less often heard. If you are a member of a local group or a public representative and want to work with us, we’d love to hear from you!

Meeting your needs

If you require any of our attachments or publications in alternative formats, please contact us and we will be happy to meet your needs. Our surveys are also available in hard copy format, and we can provide stamped-addressed envelopes on request.

We will share what we hear with the people who plan and deliver our health and care services, so that they listen and act on the things that matter most to you.

Please tell us what you think by midnight on Monday 30th September 2024.
