Emergency Gynaecology Unit
The Emergency Gynaecology unit - Ward 4, offers 24-hour medical cover, where a medical professional can directly refer you into the service. This is for women who are experiencing any gynaecological emergency and for acute early pregnancy problems. The service also offers an emergency gynaecology clinic Monday-Friday every morning at Singleton Hospital – Ward 16.
A senior or junior doctor will be looking after patients who come into hospital with emergency gynaecological problems.
Patients are unable to refer themselves to the unit. They must be referred by the Emergency Department, their GP or their midwife.
On call Gynaecology services open 24hrs.
Emergency clinic Monday-Friday PM.
Referrals must be made via GP or midwife.
