Update (08/03/24) – The Business Continuity incident at Morriston Hospital has been stood down. But the site remains busy, so please use alternative ways to access urgent care where possible.
Morriston Hospital is under extreme pressure today 06/03/24, with high numbers of acutely unwell patients needing treatment and beds.
As a result we are at our highest level of escalation – a Business Continuity Incident.
Staff are working extremely hard. But waits are much longer than we would like, especially for those who attend our Emergency Department (A&E) with less serious and non-life threatening illnesses or injuries.
