Gynaecological Oncology Surgery

Help shape the future of gynaecological cancer surgery in Wales!

We’re reviewing how specialist surgery for cancers of the womb, ovaries, cervix, and other parts of the female reproductive system is delivered across South, Mid, and West Wales.

Why does this matter?

• Around 1,200 people each year need these services.

• Current challenges include staff shortages, long waits, and unequal access to clinical trials.

• Our proposal is to centralise specialist surgery at University Hospital Wales in Cardiff, while keeping diagnosis and follow-up care local.

Your views will help us design safe, fair, and sustainable services.

Complete the survey by 9 February 2026.
