Wall of thanks

An image of hands being held up, with the sun in the distance shining through them.

Sharing the heartfelt thank you messages we have received from our patients, their families and caregivers.

These messages come directly from patients, their families, and caregivers who deeply appreciate our staff's commitment, compassion and positive impact they have made.

Emergency Department:

  • The staff were incredible. Care and attention couldn’t have been better.
  • All staff were extremely helpful polite, knowledgeable and comforting. I was in a panic condition never having experienced this condition previously. Thank you is a small appreciation for the diagnosis made with calmness and the ability to listen carefully to the patient.
  • The service provided by the nurses, doctors and ambulance staff was absolutely phenomenal and I couldn't have asked for better care.

Neath Port Talbot Hospital/Singleton Hospital

  • I was seen on time; the nurse was aware of the reason for my visit and was prepared for my treatment. She was very professional and welcoming.
  • The radiographer who performed the ultrasound on my daughter’s heart was absolutely lovely, kind, patient and really put her at ease. We left commenting to each other about how nice she was!
  • It is very easy to access the hospital areas, very polite, friendly and efficient staff. We feel very welcome from the moment we arrive in the Singleton Hospital! Any person who works there is friendly and helpful in giving me the right information or direction I need.

Morriston Hospital:

  • I thought the whole process was very efficient. From the welcome to good bye. What was a stressful day, the lovely staff made it so much easier. Warm and caring and even had time to chat with me which I thought was excellent considering how busy it was. Special thanks to the Pembroke Ward, porters, the lady escorting me down to theatre, the anaesthetist who was awesome and quite funny and finally the consultant who carried out the surgery. Thank you.
  • Very friendly staff and nurses who reassured my son that he will be ok. This made my son more comfortable, and he understood what was going to happen. Quick time being seen to and had a great experience.
  • All staff we met, from the receptionist, triage nurse and specialist nurse were amazing. They were warm and friendly. Their conversation with me and my daughter flowed, which put her at ease.

Maternity:

  • Staff have been unbelievable. Early on we realised intervention was needed and we literally passed all our trust on to the teams and let them do their jobs. They were phenomenal. Also, the cleanliness, bed changing, checking on me etc. Words fail me when I try and describe how wonderful the staff have been. So very grateful.
  • Can't praise the wards and teams highly enough. The medical teams, nursing staff, cleaners, hostesses, everyone. Such a positive experience all round.
  • I found that the staff here have been absolutely amazing and very helpful. Managed to deliver my baby boy very safely and looked after me. All staff here - you are amazing.

Primary and Community:

  • All good, called into appointment right on time, the nurse I seen showed great understanding and empathy with my condition, had plenty of time for me and had great understanding of my other conditions that contribute to the problems I seen her about.
  • The staff were really helpful and explained everything. A really professional service and made me feel at ease in what was an anxiety provoking procedure. Thank you.
  • I was provided with short term treatment, thorough and clear information about my condition and good advice about its ongoing management. All carried out in a friendly and considerate manner.

Mental Health and Learning Disabilities:

  • I have used the Swansea Crisis team a few times over the years. I usually speak to them over the phone, but I have had them come out to me when I was feeling low. They visit and sit and talk to me and see if I am ok. They have helped me.
  • The Special Behaviour team have worked with me and my team a few times. They come in and talk to us and are very engaging with my team and our clients.
  • My father is in hospital and I have been told by my sister that he is being looked after very well. I live far away so I can only call the team there. They are very courteous over the phone and my sister says they look after him well.
