SBUHB Chaplaincy and Spiritual Care

A logo for SBUHB Chaplaincy

Spiritual care is offered to all staff because we understand the importance it plays in helping us navigate life, deal with stress and difficult events and also contributes to the process of healing.

Swansea Bay University Health Board has a team of chaplains of different faiths and denominations, who operate across all sites to provide spiritual and religious care.

We recognize that working in healthcare can sometimes be tough too and that having someone take time to listen and encourage you can be helpful.

We offer: -

  • A listening ear in difficult times
  • Confidential, non-judgemental support and comfort
  • Religion specific practises and prayer
  • Group support such as Memorial services and books of condolence
  • Contact with local faith groups to support you.
  • Signposting to counselling services.

Our Chaplains are available between 8.30am-4.30pm on 33301, 01792 703301

Or for out of hours, telephone support is available for staff who are struggling and wish to talk.  Call any one of the hospital switchboards and ask for the Duty Chaplain. Finally, you can email us on SBU.Chaplaincy@wales.nhs.uk

Rydym yn croesawu gohebiaeth a galwadau ffôn yn y Gymraeg neu'r Saesneg. Atebir gohebiaeth Gymraeg yn y Gymraeg, ac ni fydd hyn yn arwain at oedi. Mae’r dudalen hon ar gael yn Gymraeg drwy bwyso’r botwm ar y dde ar frig y dudalen.

We welcome correspondence and telephone calls in Welsh or English. Welsh language correspondence will be replied to in Welsh, and this will not lead to a delay. This page is available in Welsh by clicking ‘Cymraeg’ at the top right of this page.
