Below you can find information and contact details for groups and organisations which are based in your area.

Many of them can offer support or can provide information on various events and local matters.

Does your child spend a lot of time worrying about things going on in their life or about the people closest to them?

Has there been a recent loss or bereavement in the family?

Is your child struggling with the pressures of exams or worrying about changing schools?

Does your child struggle to manage their emotions?

Are they having difficulties with either peer or family relationships?

Do they have difficulty sleeping or there's been a change to their eating habits?

If your child is aged between nine and 17-years-old, Barnardo's Wellbeing Service is here to support you and your child.

If you are registered with a Penderi Cluster GP practice, ask them to make a referral for you.

Family & Therapy provides a counselling service for young people up to the age of 18.

In-person appointments are available at Page Street in Swansea.

If you would like to be referred, please speak to your GP practice.

The Dementia Hwb is located in Swansea's Quadrant Shopping Centre and provides information and signposts to support for those affected by dementia.

Run by registered charity Dementia Friendly Swansea, there are now also mobile hwbs available in the community with dates and times available on the website.

There is a Facebook page set up for the community centre which provides updates and information on events and groups.

Versus Arthritis offers a wide range of activities across Wales, including peer support for adults, young people and families, information sharing and social activities.

FIT Jacks is a free 12-week health and wellbeing programme which combines information about healthier choices with free weekly fitness sessions which cater to your fitness levels.

Your local area coordinator can help you find support and advice in your community. 

They can help you to find out about your community and introduce you to friendly, helpful people within it.

They can help you explore and build on your strengths and can support you to share your skills and gifts with others. They can help you connect with formal services if that is what you feel you need.

The People's Library offers a number of creative projects, including Swansea Visions Art and Photography exhibitions and Swansea Voices.

There are several groups and clubs based at Christ Well United Reformed Church, including Musical Memories Choir, MS Society social and a children's club.

Penderi's audiology service is also based there on Wednesdays and Fridays, with appointments only made through the GP practice.

Penlan Leisure Centre has a gym and swimming pool and is open seven days a week.

Freedom Leisure manages the leisure centre in partnership with Swansea Council, and it aims to provide affordable, inclusive and sustainable facilities for the community.

Talk Club is an initiative for men which offers a space for talking, listening and seeking to improve the mental fitness of participants.

Sessions run every Monday between 7pm and 9pm at the Swansea.com Stadium's press room.

BMHS is a not-for-profit organisation focused on education and advocacy to inspire a mentally healthy BAME community by providing mental health and wellbeing support.

Swansea Community Farm is a community-led charity based in the city, with a range of farm animals, allotments, wildlife areas and beehives.

The farm aims to improve wellbeing and build skills, as well as produce local food and care for the environment.
