About Me

I am a Route 2 Trainee Clinical Scientist in MRI aiming for Health and Care Professions Council registration in 2024. I have particular interests in diffusion weighted imaging, stochastic learning algorithms, and teaching.

I have very close links to Swansea University. From 2013-2017 I completed my BSc in Particle Physics and Cosmology, and MSc in Medical Radiation Physics.

In 2022 I published my PhD thesis in adaptive shaping of laser beams for high-harmonic generation applications. During my PhD I taught first and third year laboratory experiments and took part in several scientific public outreach projects.

At present I am an honorary research fellow at the university and have taught MRI laboratory sessions in the PMPM04 (MSc) Medical Imaging module. My aim for teaching is to achieve Associate Fellowship (AFHEA) status.

My current research builds on the work of my MSc project in diffusion MRI.
