LGBTQ+ Action Plan Workshop

In February 2023, Welsh Government published their LGBTQ+ Action Plan for Wales with the aim to make Wales the most LGBTQ+ friendly nation in Europe.  At Swansea Bay University Health Board we want this too. This is where we need YOUR help.

We want to ensure, as your local health board, that we listen to you, about what is important to you.

We have reviewed the plan that Welsh Government has produced, and have drawn upon the key themes where we can have a meaningful impact.  We would like to work with our LGBTQ+ citizens and allies to help us shape our plan to ensure that we can provide the best experience when accessing our services.

We are inviting individuals and organisations to attend a workshop to have this conversation.

We are holding two workshops:

Wednesday 7th June – Neath Community Centre – 1.30pm to 4pm – If you’d like to attend the LGBTQ+ workshop on Wednesday 7th June, please follow this link to Eventbrite.

Wednesday 14th June – Phoenix Centre, Townhill – 1.30pm to 4pm – If you would like to attend the LGBTQ+ workshop on Wednesday 14th June, please follow this link to Eventbrite.

During this workshop we will aim to document some of the actions we can take and the positive impact this will have on our LGBTQ+ citizens.

Travel expenses will be reimbursed to individuals who take part.

If you are unable to attend, but would like to share your experiences, please contact us on SBU.DICE@wales.nhs.uk.

Rydym yn croesawu gohebiaeth a galwadau ffôn yn y Gymraeg neu'r Saesneg. Atebir gohebiaeth Gymraeg yn y Gymraeg, ac ni fydd hyn yn arwain at oedi. Mae’r dudalen hon ar gael yn Gymraeg drwy bwyso’r botwm ar y dde ar frig y dudalen.

We welcome correspondence and telephone calls in Welsh or English. Welsh language correspondence will be replied to in Welsh, and this will not lead to a delay. This page is available in Welsh by clicking ‘Cymraeg’ at the top right of this page.
