Welcome to the department of Diabetes and Endocrinology for Swansea Bay University Health Board.
We hope you find this webpage useful. We provide secondary care to diabetic and endocrine patients across Swansea and Neath Port Talbot. We are located at Morriston, Singleton and Neath Port Talbot hospitals.
If you have an outpatient appointment that you need to cancel please contact:
All diabetic patients require a blood test before their appointment. You will be sent a blood form reminder approximately six to eight weeks before your appointment. Please endeavour to book your blood test as soon as possible. Average waiting times for a blood test appointment varies from one to three weeks. Please consider using a different site for your blood test, there are six locations across our area.
Go to this page to book a blood test.
You may receive a text message reminder two to three weeks before your diabetic appointment to remind you to have a blood test. You can ignore this text if you have already had your blood test.
Our phone lines are open Monday to Friday 8.30am to 4pm. Please note emails will be responded to within 48 hours. Please telephone the department if you require a response sooner.
Within our team there is MDT (multidisciplinary team) approach working with input from registrars, Dietetics, Podiatry, Health Care Support Staff and other medical professionals.
Rydym yn croesawu gohebiaeth a galwadau ffôn yn y Gymraeg neu'r Saesneg. Atebir gohebiaeth Gymraeg yn y Gymraeg, ac ni fydd hyn yn arwain at oedi. Mae’r dudalen hon ar gael yn Gymraeg drwy bwyso’r botwm ar y dde ar frig y dudalen.
We welcome correspondence and telephone calls in Welsh or English. Welsh language correspondence will be replied to in Welsh, and this will not lead to a delay. This page is available in Welsh by clicking ‘Cymraeg’ at the top right of this page.
